Most crafts will have a protective paper backing that should be peeled off before crafting this is to protect the wood during laser cutting and shipping.

Very nice quality! I wanted to paint a sort of British pub sign, but couldn't find a local outlet for an arch-shaped piece of wood. Fortunately, 24 Hour Crafts had this when no one else did. It's nice to find a place that offers a wide selection of products. And there was a quick turnaround time, too.
