I am an artist working on a public art project called "What's In Your Heart?". The Natick, MA community is helping to paint 2,023 4" x 4" red hearts with words and drawings that illustrate what is in their heart, what makes them happy or what makes them smile when they get up in the morning. The 2,023 red hearts will be strung together and displayed in our town center enveloping it with LOVE. The larger hearts purchased here are being used as sponsor hearts. Local businesses and individuals are donating to the project to help cover funding and in return, they receive a larger heart (8" x 8" or 12" x 12") and are painting them with their business name or however they want. I painted and stenciled these wood hearts to turn my Christmas tree into a Valentines tree. They worked great! The wood is thick enough to hold eye hooks for hanging. The paint adhered easily (just be sure to remove the paper backing). They are the perfect size for tree ornaments!
