Most crafts will have a protective paper backing that should be peeled off before crafting this is to protect the wood during laser cutting and shipping.

These are absolutely wonderful quality perfect in every way for what I am using them for. It is a shame of how much duty I have to pay however, I think that is the tariffs. And that is far nothing to do with the seller. I will continue to buy.
